Yoga is an ancient form of mental, physical and spiritual practice that aims to uplift. The word Yoga comes from Sanskrit, an ancient Indian language, which has been interpreted as 'Union'. There are a variety of different yoga types. Many people believe that yoga is just about stretching.
They are wrong.
The Asanas - postures and flowing movements build strength, flexibility, improve posture and tone muscles. But it goes much deeper than that. Yoga forces you to concentrate on your breathing, calming your mind.
It's a fluid form of meditation that detoxifies your body, your mind and your soul.
The best thing about Yoga is that you can never be perfect at it. No-one is better than anyone else.

Ready for a cardio work out that gets your sweat on? Vinyasa is a flowing series of postures that links breath with movement. Inhaling and exhaling as you seamlessly move from one position to the next. You generate heat from within, working your muscles, core, flexibility and on some crazy days, your ability to turn into an acrobat (don't worry, it's good fun). The best bit about a flow class is that you literally get into the flow. You forget that you are working really hard and just mentally get into it.
By the end of the class you are a sweaty, toned, energised yoga god.
